Q2 (B) submit — submit a request — formal/official process word. 'send' is too informal.
Q3 (C) implement — implement a system — standard business verb. 'put' and 'do' are too informal.
Q4 (B) place — place an order — fixed collocation. Never 'make/do an order'.
Q5 (C) conduct — conduct a survey — most formal and natural. 'do a survey' is acceptable informally but 'conduct' is preferred in TOEIC.
Q6 (A) take — take effect — fixed phrase. Always 'take effect', never 'make effect'.
Q7 (B) approve — approve a proposal/merger — formal decision verb. 'approve' is the standard TOEIC word.
Q8 (C) reimbursed — reimbursed — to be reimbursed = to get money back for work-related expenses. Key TOEIC vocabulary.
Q9 (A) offer — offer an apology — most formal option. 'Extend our apologies' also works. 'give' is informal.
Q10 (C) deliver — deliver a speech — professional collocation. 'say a speech' is wrong; 'speak a speech' is redundant.
Q11 (B) provide — provide a form — means to give/supply. 'bring' is too physical/informal for a form submission.
Q12 (C) hold — hold a conference/event — standard event collocation. 'hold a meeting' is also correct.
Q13 (A) circulated — circulated — to circulate a document = to send it around to a group. Most professional word here.
Q14 (C) carry out — carry out an audit — 'conduct' also works. 'do an audit' is too informal for formal TOEIC context.
Q15 (C) suspend — suspend production — 'suspend' implies temporary official stoppage. 'halt' also works but 'suspend' is more formal.
Q16 (B) apply — apply to — rules/policies apply to people or situations.
Q17 (A) track — on track — fixed phrase meaning progressing as planned.
Q18 (C) promotion — running a promotion — business event collocation. 'discount' is the thing given; 'promotion' is the campaign.
Q19 (B) booked — booked — to book a room = to reserve it. Standard TOEIC vocabulary.
Q20 (C) close — close a deal — professional sales vocabulary. 'close' = to finalise/complete a negotiation successfully.
